First hair DNA extractions

The first DNA extractions from hair samples collected from my dog have now been completed. These preliminary tests have produced encouraging results and represent an important step in developing the molecular workflow that will be used throughout the project. Further optimization and validation will follow, but these early results provide confidence for the next stages of library preparation and sequencing. I'm looking forward to applying these methods to future field samples.
